I call this the wall as it reminds me of an old wall somewhere that is old and cracked and peel. This painting is oil paints with gold leaf and then it has wax applied on top of it. It is then sanded and distressed. I love to do this kind of technique as it similar to some techniques we have done in lacquer paints except we are using oil paints and a canvas.
